Memorial day weekend

Whew.... what a busy weekend, worked a crop till late Friday night, got up early to take my granddaughter to the Cincy Zoo ( it was a scorcher, and why are all the hills UPHILL) and Sunday was spent cleaning out the garage and then my youngest daughter and her husband had a cookout (which was yummy ,better so because I didn't have to cook OR cleanup)Today I did a little craft shopping and now to put those items to work. I just wanted to post my latest project, since i always seem to do cards, I thought a LO was due.
The flowers on this LO were made with a new Die-namics die. I just love to scrap my Little Lylli.
Hope you enjoy.

RUNAWAY WEEKEND

Today is Sunday , and did I get any crafting done as I planned? No!. There seems to be something else more pressing that needs done, whether it be laundry , sweeping, ironing or babysitting. But better late in the weekend than never , i will get minor things done in my craft room. I put together all  the kits for Monday's class. And now am going to start a scrapbook page.(haven't done one of those in ages)
Thanks for stopping  by.

paper piecing w/ Our Craft Lounge OCL64

Using The Girls Paperie "Vintage Whimsy" Our Craft Lounge  " Anna Mae",glossy accents, prima pearls and circle punches.

Another Monday rears it's ugly head.

As you can surmise I am not a fan of Mondays, that is until I get to work. I actually enjoy working ( I know , how weird is that?) , get to do what I like. I share with other like minded individuals my love of creating something pretty and unique out of paper goods. Mondays are when I have a card class , and spend the evening with many lovely ladies.
Yesterday I spent the day cleaning my scrap room ( I share the room with a budding crafter, my 2 year old granddaughter), getting rid of chalk fingerprints and ink smears from various surfaces, and getting rid of many colored papers that were repeatedly printed off my Internet connected printer. Yes, my gdaughter can work a printer and knows the Disney website.

After the redding up was complete, I began the task of learning how to create flowers from various dies and punches, this is what I came up with.
The rose punch was made using the Mcgill punches and the sunflower was made with the Die-Namics sunflower die.The sunflower was cut from yellow paper and then colored using Tim Holtz distress inks.

Well today started out e-a-r--l-y.

4:30 am comes really early, did you know that? I knew it was early ,but geesh when you don't fall asleep till after  midnight .......
Anyway, up early and on with the day only to find out that the air conditioning in the house is not working and they can't come to look at it till Fri. morning. So now I have to do the laundry and ironing of about 15 shirts in 80+ degrees . What a wonderful day off.
My scrapbook room is upstairs where it gets the warmest even with the air conditioning on.But I am going to try and get a few things done anyway.

This is my card for Monday night at Simply Scrapbooks .5:00p-6:30p

Technology is great when all is working.

Yes, I have been away due to the lack of an electrical cord for my computer.I will get back in the swing of things in the morning .

Just a little bit of what I enjoy doing , hope you enjoy looking.

After doing a little bit of alot of different crafts I have gone back to what I have always loved. I enjoy coloring , drawing and designing pictures. And thanks to the love and (prodding) of my DH, I am where I belong and am more happy .
